Product Licensing and Buying Placement

As a Product Licensing and Buying Intern you will be a part of our consumer products team who cover merchandising, store operations, imports and creative across our Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. You will assist with licensing for our partnerships as well as assessing samples, managing product catalogues, and analyzing the market. This internship will develop your commercial and creative thinking, and you will gain an understanding of what goes on behind the scenes to create a quality Disney product.

Publishing

Working directly with licensees, you will assist with product approvals for Disney books and magazines and support licensees with their marketing and PR plans. As well as learning to analyse data and market trends, you will develop your presentation, commercial and organisation skills. All the while learning about the world of publishing and how we create Disney books, magazines and partworks.

Site Merchandising

Supporting the E-Commerce Team with planning and trading the Online stores, you will prepare products to launch online by uploading them into the system and reviewing data categorisation. You will develop skills in accuracy and attention to detail, planning, organisation and communication. You will learn about Online Merchandising and gain exposure to how we run the iconic Disney Store.

Disney Home

Supporting our growing Homewares remit across the EMEA Region, you will gain exposure to marketing and PR campaigns by working on new product launches and develop your business knowledge by supporting with aspects such as finance and reporting. You will hone your communication skills, through stakeholder management with external licensees and working independently on market research presentations.

Disney Store

Working directly with our wider retail team in Europe and North America, you will assist the Buying team with delivering a range of consumer products from initial competitor research through to launching the product in our Flagship Stores and online. You will develop your Buying, commercial retail, data analysis and presentation skills. You will become an expert in Disney and retail, building relationships across a global business that incorporates the Disney Stores from across the world, the Disney Parks and Disney's major licensing partners.

This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week.

Eligibility

  • Must be a second-year undergraduate student on an industrial placement year course returning to study in Autumn 2026
  • Must have the right to work in the UK at the start of employment
  • Available to start working full time from June 2025
