You would be:

  • In control and coordinate all aspects of operations, managing a team of people including surveyors, supervisors, planners and field operatives. The purpose of this department is to oversee all areas of our operational work. You would have control over the work force, how the work is planned and executed.
  • required to be prepared, organised and in control of the day-to-day operations but you would also need to be ready for the unexpected due to the reactionary nature of the industry. Priorities can change very quickly, and you would need to be in control of the delivery of the work, you must be prepared to multitask.

  • Working both in the office; overseeing planning and liaising with customers and attending both our own yard and customer sites.
  • Taking responsibility for safety, commercial and practical elements of the delivery of all of our work
  • Required to be available for regular standby, weekend and out of hours working, to support the business, meet the requirements of our customers and the industry.
  • Involved and deliver all elements of the project including; tendering, pre-construction, construction and close out.
  • The Lead and be responsible for the full operations team include water teams, reinstatement and commissioning teams. Control and manage all the day to day elements of employee performance.
  • Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.

 

We are looking for candidates who have worked within the utilities industry with a minimum of five years experience, with experience in managing a team and an understanding of how to complete complex works.

 

The following are key:

  • Experience in managing projects from £1,000 to £2.5m.
  • Hold industry specific qualifications including SMSTS, NRSWA Supervisor, a NEBOSH qualification would be an advantage
  • Experience with working with NEC3, NEC4, JCT and Customer Bespoke Contracts.
  • Exceptional customer services skills.
  • Competent IT Skills
  • Ability to work safely, professionally, and accurately at all times.
  • A full driving licence
  • Physically fit

 

The package is negotiable dependent on experience but it will include an attractive basic salary, standby and out of hours payments, 25 days holiday and a car allowance.
